
Anime studio Kinema Citrus has revealed details about its original TV anime titled Goodbye, Lara, scheduled to release in 2026 as part of the studio’s 15th anniversary. The first teaser visual and promotional trailer (PV) were also revealed as part of the announcement on July 1. The anime was first announced in May 2024 at Anime Central.
Hana Hishikawa will voice the main character, Lara. The anime will follow the story of a mermaid called Lara who, after falling in love with a human prince 200 years ago and turning into sea foam, is reincarnated as a human in Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture. The project staff includes:

Kinema Citrus was founded in 2008 and is behind titles like The Rising of the Shield Hero, Made in Abyss, My Happy Marriage, and more. Season 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero is set to premiere on July 9.
