It is time to see who (y)our favorite male character of the Spring 2023 anime season was! We already had a chance to look at the best girls (according to votes) and now it’s time to develop into the slightly less popular category. This season had quite a few strong male leads who managed to become part of compelling storylines. It’s not a surprise that shonen protagonists are dominating the list – considering how many titles aimed at this age group we had.
First off, Aquamarine Hoshino. Oshi no Ko‘s success was not a surprise, seeing as it was one of the most anticipated shows of the season, and with Aqua as a dynamic protagonist it barely had any competition in the best character contests. Gabimaru from Hell’s Paradise took the second spot and in the third we have Vinland Saga‘s Thorfinn. In the fourth place was Tanjiro, followed by Akito Yamada.
