Summer 2023 is behind us and it is time to pick our favorite characters of the season – specifically the best girl! Many loveable characters graced us with their presence this season in both new and returning titles. Last season Oshi no Ko girls dominated the top ten list, but this time around we did not have such a female-centric series.
Over 17,400 people cast votes for the 56 candidates in the Best Girl of Summer 2023 Anime Season poll and here are the winners. Sylphiette marked her return to the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation series with a resounding win (7.04% of total votes), while Bungo Stray Dogs‘ Aya Koda was in the 2nd place. Rukia Kuchiki earned her third place with 5.78% of the votes. Fourth and fifth places went to Shizuka Mikazuki (Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) and Miyo Saimori (My Happy Marriage).
