The results of our main female character ranking for 2024 are also out, and you can see who was the best girl of the year below. The nominees were the top 5 characters from each of the season, including the results for:
A total of 41,430 people voted in the category for the best boy, with Anna Yamada from The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 taking the win. This was her second yearly win in a row. Anna previously also won the title of Best Girl of the Year for the 2023 awards, and she won again in Winter 2024. This year, Kyotaro Ichikawa also won the title of Best Boy (he ranked #24 in 2023).
This year, Anna was followed by Kurumi Tokisaki from Date a Live V, who only had 0.14% less votes. Next were more heavy hitters, having Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries, Momo from DAN DA DAN, and Frieren and Fern from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. You can see the full results below.
