The first Anime Corner’s Best Boy poll of 2024 is here, as the Winter anime season is officially over. This time around rom-com fans got to enjoy a full slate because in spite of very-anticipated adaptations, nothing could dethrone The Dangers in My Heart 2. The results of the Best Boy poll somewhat reflect this, but it seems like the community appreciated both the characters who grew over time and those who brought pure hype with their presence. This time around the Best Boy poll had a little over 18,500 votes (Best Girl poll had over 22k).
Unsurprisingly, the first place went to Kyotaro Ichikawa from The Dangers in My Heart. The romance was simply too sweet to ignore. Sung Jinwoo, who showed remarkable strength in the highly-anticipated Solo Leveling adaptation, “arose” to second place, while the mysterious and adorable Jinshi from The Apothecary Diaries ranked third. Following behind are Ayanokoji from Classroom of the Elite and Mash, from MASHLE: Magic and Muscles (somewhat ironic as the two couldn’t be more different). Check out the full list below:
