The Dangers in My Heart (Bokuyaba) anime has movie revealed the first trailer and key visual, along with a February 13 premiere date in Japan. The movie will be a special compilation of the TV anime (Season 1 & Season 2), featuring new scenes along with the continuation of Kyotaro and Anna’s story. The anime is set to appear at Anime Expo 2025.

Studio Shin-Ei Animation is handling the animation, and you can watch the first trailer below.

The Dangers in My Heart (Bokuyaba) Movie – First Anime Key Visual | February 13 Premiere in Japan

The anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai. Widely regarded by fans as “peak romance,” the manga currently has 12 volumes out and over 6.5 million circulating copies. The first season of the TV anime adaptation ran for 12 episodes in Spring 2023.

The second season of the anime ran for a total of 13 episodes in Winter 2024, absolutely dominating our weekly rankings all the way. Studio Shin-Ei Animation animated the The Dangers in My Heart (Bokuyaba) anime adaptation with Hiroaki Akagi as the director. The main cast includes Hina Yomiya and Shun Horie as the main duo Anna Yamada and Kyotaro Ichikawa.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the title in English, while HIDIVE is streaming the anime. The story follows Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy who fantasizes about acting on his twisted thoughts, but an encounter with the adorable Anna Yamada completely changes his life.

The franchise also released a novel adaptation on September 25, with the book featuring 4 short stories, along with showing Kyotaro and Anna 10 years in the future.
